About Equine Sporting Artist Beth Parcell Evans

The ArtistArt is my passion. I paint what I live, whether it is the wilderness of Maine or the excitement of horse racing, following the foxhunt, and hanging around the stable. My paintings are my view of the world. It is quite beautiful and amazing, and I’d like to remind you of that when you look at my work.

Take time to see the beauty around you, the way the sun shimmers on a horse’s back, the many colors reflected in its coat. Feel the mood of the racetrack, the tension of the hounds as they hunt and then break into full cry after the fox, the serenity of a pasture scene at sunset. These things are my world. I hope you enjoy it!

"Don't ask yourself what the world needs – ask yourself what makes you come alive, and then go do it! Because what the world needs are people who have come alive." - -Howard Thurman, Philosopher and Theologian
